בסרטון שהפך לוויראלי התייחס מייקל לאופן ההשקייה של הצמחים. הוא הסביר כי במהלך ההשקייה מומלץ להשתמש בשלושה סוגים של מתאמים לצינור, אחד להשקיה עדינה שלא תפגע בעלים ובעלי הכותרת של הפרחים, שני בעל זרם חזק שמיועד לניקוי ושלישי שמתאים למילוי דליים ומזלפים.
מייקל גם ציין כי הדרך הכי טובה היא להשקות את הצמחים מהבסיס ולא מלמעלה בזרם חלש ודק שלא יצור בורות באדמה ויחשוף את השורשים, והוסיף כי במידת האפשר מומלץ להשקות בבוקר או בערב.
